To the editor: The Instances published a letter from a physician who expressed disgust at Vice President Kamala Harris’s laughing over taking pictures a house intruder and proclaimed he’ll vote for Inexperienced Occasion candidate Jill Stein in protest.
Does he merely not perceive {that a} vote for Stein is actually a vote for former President Trump, and the extent to which society’s preoccupation with weapons and gun violence would flourish below one other Trump administration?
In 2016, near 132,000 individuals in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania voted for Stein. Hillary Clinton misplaced these three states by a mixed margin of about 80,000 votes. If these presumed principled and environmentally acutely aware Stein voters had solid their votes for Clinton, we’d have averted the divisiveness, incompetence and hatefulness of Trump over these final eight years.
Let’s not enable that to occur once more. Please use your views on weapons and the gun foyer’s misuse of the 2nd Modification to petition Congress and state legislatures to work towards an finish to America’s epidemic of gun violence.
Please don’t let perfection be the enemy of knowledgeable judgment.

To the editor: At any time when I examine somebody casting a “protest vote” within the upcoming presidential election, I’m wondering what they’re protesting.
Are they protesting the appropriate of reproductive freedom for ladies? Are they protesting the appropriate to vote in free and truthful elections? Are they protesting democracy itself?
Any so-called protest vote just isn’t a protest in any respect. It’s a vote for the disgraced ex-president who desires to be king.
