WASHINGTON: A Missouri lady was arrested on Friday (Aug 16) for an alleged “brazen scheme” to steal possession of Graceland, the historic dwelling of Elvis Presley, from the household of the King of Rock and Roll, the US Justice Division stated.
Lisa Jeanine Findley, 53, faces federal mail fraud and identification theft expenses and will face a most penalty of greater than 20 years in jail.
“The defendant orchestrated a scheme to conduct a fraudulent sale of Graceland, falsely claiming that Elvis Presley’s daughter had pledged the historic landmark as collateral for a mortgage that she didn’t repay earlier than her loss of life,” Nicole Argentieri, head of the US Justice Division’s prison division, stated in an announcement.
