To the editor: Why are educators nonetheless involved in math and English check scores within the L.A. Unified College District and the remainder of California? In any case, the College of California and California State College methods not require the SAT or ACT for admission, so what’s the purpose of testing on the decrease ranges? (“Low math and English scores mark the nation’s report card, California and L.A. included,” Jan. 28)
In reality, being a straight-A scholar doesn’t imply {that a} scholar in LAUSD can learn at grade degree. They’re simply method forward of nearly all of college students.
I see it this manner: Prefer it or not, the SAT and ACT are good indicators of scholar success in school. So, if a scholar’s check rating is low, go to group school first, show your self and save a hell of some huge cash.
Nobody likes testing. However it’s higher than embarrassing your self by flunking out of some four-year school when your 4.0 grade-point common in highschool was actually extra like a 2.0.
Both check in Ok-12 and use the SAT and ACT for faculty admission, or finish testing as a measure of readiness in any respect ranges.

To the editor: In response to latest testing statistics, 78% of LAUSD eighth graders will not be proficient in studying. Maybe they need to be examined on their social media consciousness and proficiency.
