To the editor: I’ve by no means been a fan of houses alongside the seashores. The truth is, I resent them being there (“Should Malibu fire victims rebuild their coastal homes when the ocean is advancing?” March 26). I can think about the horrible losses these individuals have suffered and don’t want that on anybody. However the houses shouldn’t be changed. Why ought to a single household block entry to our stunning seashores and deprive hundreds of our residents the chance to view an excellent sundown or dawn or just view our nice California shoreline whereas driving by?
“While you’re out on the deck or down on the seaside, every part simply disappears,” one of many residents says within the article. “It’s the most effective.”
In my view, it needs to be the most effective for everybody, not only a choose few.
