The Congolese authorities accuses former chief Kabila of backing M23 rebels.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is going through one of many world’s largest displacement and humanitarian crises.
Instability and violence have killed at the very least 7,000 individuals and compelled hundreds of thousands to flee their properties because the begin of this 12 months.
Rwandan-backed M23 rebels have taken giant areas within the east, together with the town of Goma, the capital of North Kivu province.

Kabila says he returned to the DRC to “take part in peace efforts”.
However President Felix Tshisekedi’s authorities accuses him of backing M23.
