Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix and rookie large receiver Troy Franklin seem like clicking on the proper time.
On their first drive in Sunday’s highway wild-card matchup towards the Buffalo Payments, Nix threw a 43-yard landing to Franklin, giving Denver a 7-0 lead.
Nix and Franklin have been teammates at Oregon. In two seasons with the Geese, the quarterback threw 74 landing passes and posted an above-average 177.8 passer ranking, whereas the large receiver recorded 25 landing catches in three seasons.
Nonetheless, the previous Oregon stars have struggled to develop chemistry in Denver. In 16 regular-season video games, Franklin completed with 28 receptions for 263 yards and two landing catches. Nix, in the meantime, had 29 TD passes in 17 regular-season begins.
Denver’s passing assault might be rather more explosive if Nix and Franklin proceed to strengthen their connection. Within the common season, the Broncos ranked twentieth within the league in passing yards (212.4). Per Pro Football Reference, Nix completed thirtieth amongst 39 eligible QBs in yards per cross try (6.7).
