Former Venezuelan ambassador to the US, Carlos Vecchio, advised Al Jazeera he knew Santos nicely, describing him as a “nice individual” and “chief”.
Vecchio stated there are indications Santos was “tortured” and “dumped” on the roadside the place he was discovered.
