“It is as a result of the gaps have basically narrowed down,” stated Sullivan, Biden’s prime nationwide safety official.
Progress had been made on points together with the formulation for the trade of hostages held by Hamas and Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, and on how Israel’s forces can be “postured” in Gaza, he stated.
Sullivan credited the truth that Israel had achieved its navy aims in Gaza, whereas Hamas had suffered “catastrophic losses”.
“Whenever you put these two components collectively, we consider that the time is true to get a deal and to have to shut,” Sullivan stated.
