WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has appeared to melt his plan to take control of war-torn Gaza and relocate its greater than two million residents to close by nations, saying he was solely recommending the thought.
Trump triggered shock earlier this month when he offered his plan, by which Washington would take over the territory and rebuild it whereas pressuring Egypt and Jordan to just accept displaced Palestinians.
However in an interview Friday, the Republican president conceded that the leaders of Jordan and Egypt had rejected the plan, calling the displacement of Palestinians towards their will unjust.
