Skype has introduced it’s closing from Could.
The web chat and telephone service, which is owned by Microsoft, made the announcement on X.
It mentioned: “Beginning in Could 2025, Skype will now not be out there.
“Over the approaching days you’ll be able to register to Microsoft Groups Free along with your Skype account to remain related with all of your chats and contacts.
“Thanks for being a part of Skype.”
Microsoft made no speedy remark when contacted by BBC Information.
Skype was launched in 2003 and was then purchased by Microsoft in 2011 for $8.5bn (£6.1bn).
