Y’all see Skylar Diggins velocity as much as make contact along with her. Cease this.”
“Y’all mad as a result of that cornfed Iowa woman busting y’all a—. Y’all mentioned, ‘She too weak. She will be able to’t do that.’ She leads the WNBA in assists. She’s cooking — let her cook dinner.”
The Broncos legend took it a step additional by saying that Clark’s toughness has been questioned as a result of shade of her pores and skin, a stigma others reminiscent of Larry Chicken, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic needed to endure.
“They mentioned the identical factor about Larry Chicken — ain’t nothing hype,” Sharpe recalled. “Ain’t nothing hype about Luka. Ain’t nothing hype about Jokic. I get it — we’re not used to seeing [this], however she’s saucy with that factor [basketball]. Watching her twice in individual, I can say she is elite. She is the top at passing the basketball.”
Sharpe had blasted USAB earlier for not together with Clark on the 12-woman roster for the Paris Olympics, citing her taking pictures and passing as expertise that will have translated to FIBA basketball. After the Olympics, he pointed to poor crowd turnouts in Paris for the ladies’s basketball video games, suggesting that Clark’s presence would have solved these points.
