BUCHAREST: Romanian police raided the house of web persona Andrew Tate on Wednesday (Aug 21) as a part of a brand new investigation into crimes together with human trafficking and cash laundering, the influencer’s representatives mentioned.
A self-described misogynist, Tate has gained tens of millions of followers by selling an ultra-masculine way of life that critics say denigrates girls.
He was already indicted in mid-2023 alongside together with his brother Tristan and two Romanian feminine suspects for human trafficking, rape and forming a legal gang to sexually exploit girls, allegations they denied.
“Though the allegations within the search warrant aren’t but totally clarified, they embrace suspicions of human trafficking and cash laundering,” Tate’s representatives mentioned in a press release on Wednesday.

Romania’s Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) mentioned on Wednesday it had carried out 4 house search warrants inside Ilfov county and the Bucharest municipality.
It mentioned the investigation involved “a legal case relating to the fee of the crimes of organising an organized legal group, trafficking of minors, human trafficking, sexual activity with a minor, influencing statements and cash laundering.”
