To the editor: For 17 years, I used to be the principal at Palisades Elementary Constitution Faculty. It was distinctive as a result of hard-working employees and the superb, responsive group that was such an integral part of our crew. Despite the fact that I’ve spent many hours in entrance of my tv, I merely can’t imagine it’s all gone. That stunning faculty that was constructed within the Nineteen Twenties is gone. In one of many quick video clips that was despatched to me, you may hear a father level out to his younger son as they drove by that his classroom was gone.
The Instances revealed a photograph that shocked me however gave me hope. In the course of the rubble stood a big play construction that was put in throughout my tenure on the faculty. It gave the impression to be untouched by the hearth.
To me it represented hope — that at some point the Los Angeles Unified Faculty District will rebuild on the land, that kids will as soon as once more be taught within the school rooms, and that the group members will return to rebuild their particular little village.
