The injured are transported to hospital after explosion close to Miragoane in Haiti’s southern Nippes area, officers say.
Greater than 15 individuals have been killed and about 40 injured when a tanker truck leaking petrol exploded in southern Haiti, interim Prime Minister Garry Conille says.
Conille stated in a social media post that he had spoken to authorities within the area of Nippes, the place Saturday’s explosion happened. Civil safety crews and different officers have been mobilised.
“The federal government stands in solidarity with all of the victims and their households and plans evacuations by way of helicopter,” Conille wrote.
