Weezer bass participant Scott Shriner’s spouse, Jillian Shriner, fired at police earlier than being shot by a Los Angeles Police Division officer on Tuesday, the division has confirmed.
Shriner has been arrested on suspicion of tried homicide of a peace officer.

The LAPD was monitoring an unrelated hit-and-run suspect by a yard once they noticed Shriner in a neighboring yard armed with a handgun.
In a press launch, the LAPD mentioned, “Because the officers have been within the rear yard of that residence, they noticed a feminine, later recognized as 51-year-old Jillian Shriner, within the yard of a neighboring residence armed with a handgun. “Shriner was struck by gunfire and fled into her residence. She later exited and was taken into custody,” the press launch continued. “Los Angeles Fireplace Division paramedics transported Shriner to a neighborhood hospital, the place she was handled for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.”

In a subsequent press release, the LAPD confirmed that Shriner had truly fired her weapon on the police.
“Our investigation revealed proof corresponding to a shell casing and video footage exhibiting she repeatedly ignored police instructions to disarm and that she fired her weapon at LAPD officers. She was subsequently booked for tried homicide of a peace officer.”
