WASHINGTON: US Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a concession speech to the nation on Wednesday (Nov 6) after a whirlwind marketing campaign that did not cease Republican Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
“Whereas I concede this election, I don’t concede the struggle that fuelled this marketing campaign,” she informed supporters, lots of them in tears, at her alma mater Howard College, a traditionally Black faculty in Washington.
Harris pledged to proceed combating for girls’s rights and towards gun violence and to “struggle for the dignity that each one individuals deserve”.
She stated she had known as President-elect Trump, congratulated him on his triumph and promised to have interaction in a peaceable switch of energy.
