To the editor: The outline of the destruction of Alejandro Diaz’s lovely hand-built residence alongside the Arroyo Seco channel in Highland Park was one of many saddest issues I’ve ever learn. In what means does this resolve any downside or do any good? (“He spent 5 years building makeshift home. It took one day for authorities to dismantle it,” Feb. 24)
The residents of the encampment have been despatched warning notices saying that “their private property couldn’t be saved in a metropolis park” — a primary cease-and-desist order. Solely on this case, the true message to them was to stop to exist.
