Balochistan Liberation Military claims accountability for assault on prepare travelling from Quetta to Peshawar.
Islamabad, Pakistan – Separatist fighters have attacked and seized a prepare in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, taking a whole bunch of individuals hostage.
Railway sources on Tuesday confirmed to Al Jazeera that greater than 400 passengers have been on board the 9 coaches on the Jaffar Categorical, which was travelling from the provincial capital of Quetta to the northern metropolis of Peshawar.
Provincial spokesperson Shahid Rind mentioned an emergency had been declared at a serious hospital in Sibi metropolis, located 160km (100 miles) from Quetta, after studies of “intense firing” on the prepare.
Separatist group the Balochistan Liberation Military (BLA) claimed accountability for the assault. It mentioned in an announcement that safety personnel have been amongst these taken hostage and warned of retaliation if safety forces carried out an operation.
