A Fox Climate meteorologist went from protecting the story to being the story as Hurricane Helen roared over Georgia Friday.
Throughout a reside standup report earlier than dawn, meteorologist Bob Van Dillen witnessed a lady trapped by the swollen waters of Atlanta’s Peachtree Creek, in response to WAGA-TV.
After first reassuring the lady that he had referred to as 911 and that rescuers had been on their manner, Van Dillen took issues into his personal fingers — and onto his personal again.

“I simply put the microphone down and referred to as 911,” Van Dillen advised WAGA. “I do know that these guys are swamped, so we waited about 5 minutes. She was getting panicked just a little bit extra as a result of the water was developing just a little bit greater.”
Because the video reveals, Van Dillen’s top — 6-1, in response to WAGA — was a determined benefit within the state of affairs.

“Her husband picked her up, and he or she’s all good,” Van Dillen stated, in response to WAGA.
