To the editor: Like many People, I’m essential of the medical insurance trade’s notoriously predatory practices. However I’m wholly repulsed by those that abide the infliction of bodily violence on its administration. (“Luigi Mangione pleads not guilty to murder and weapons charges in UnitedHealthcare CEO’s death,” Dec. 23)
Repugnant as Luigi Mangione’s alleged crime is, he completely deserves competent authorized illustration and a good trial. However that doesn’t entitle him to obtain a lot titillating media protection.
Sufficient of repeatedly seeing Mangione’s smugly defiant picture on TV information and in newspaper pictures. Identical goes for any pre-trial publicity of his skewed ideological conceits.
Let legal proceedings take their course. As soon as Mangione has been tried, ample pertinent proof will likely be accessible for the general public to solid judgment on him.
