Re: “Parents’ plea: Preserve funding for disability services” (Feb. 1, Opinion):
Two dad and mom, Lee Springgate and Robert Wheeler, have made a easy request of all of us, significantly our legislators.
They’ve requested to have current funding for these with disabilities, and those that love and look after them, be preserved. This group of Washington residents is a really small proportion of the inhabitants and a fair smaller proportion of the funds. These persons are heroes and deserve our assist and admiration. Our state Structure acknowledges their rights. They’re solely asking for what is because of them in justice and equity.
As one who’s grateful day-after-day for my well being, I encourage you to hitch me in contacting and urging our legislators to protect their funding. Let’s be the voices for individuals who want a lift. Maybe we will be a part of their prayer, from John O’Donohue’s poem “A Morning Providing”: “Could I’ve the braveness right this moment / To stay the life that I might love, / To postpone my dream now not / However do eventually what I got here right here for / And waste my coronary heart on worry no extra.”
