Chicago Bears defensive again Tyrique Stevenson made an inexcusable blunder on the finish of his staff’s loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday, and he has since apologized each publicly and privately.
The Bears scored a landing to take a 15-12 lead over the Commanders with simply 25 seconds remaining. Washington drove to its personal 48 on the following drive and had time for one remaining play. Jayden Daniels then completed a Hail Mary touchdown pass to Noah Brown for an unbelievable walk-off win.
Following the miraculous end, a video surfaced that confirmed Stevenson was off to the aspect taunting Commanders followers on the ultimate play properly after the ball had been snapped. Stevenson took to social media to apologize after the sport.
“To Chicago and teammates my apologies for ignorance and focus…The sport ain’t over till zeros hit the clock. Can’t take something with no consideration. Notes taken, enchancment will occur,” Stevenson wrote on X.
