Tehran’s overseas ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei lashed out on Thursday towards unspecified media studies on Iran “interfering in Syria’s inside affairs” as “baseless”.
Iran was dedicated to “supporting the territorial integrity and nationwide unity of Syria and the formation of an inclusive political system,” he mentioned in an announcement.
Syria’s new leaders have criticised Iran over its function in Syria through the years.
“Iran should respect the desire of the Syrian folks and the sovereignty and security of its nation,” Syria’s new overseas minister wrote on social media web site X on Tuesday.
“We warn them towards spreading chaos in Syria and maintain them chargeable for the implications of their latest statements,” he added.
