A brand new report suggests quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a surprisingly robust response to the New York Jets’ choice to maneuver on from him after two seasons.
Rodgers “aggressively urged” the Jets to offer him yet one more season as their quarterback throughout conferences with the group final week, according to Steve Helling and Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post. The veteran quarterback was involved that his profession “may finish with a whimper” if the Jets didn’t deliver him again.
Finally, the Jets have been reportedly unmoved by Rodgers’ pleas, and went by with their plans to maneuver on from him forward of the 2025 marketing campaign. The quarterback in the end accepted the choice “like a person going to the gallows.”
This means, quite surprisingly, that Rodgers just isn’t essentially optimistic about discovering a brand new touchdown spot for 2025 if he does need to play one other season. A lot of groups want a quarterback and might be out there for him, although there does appear to be some resistance to him in sure spots.
