Re: “Judge temporarily blocks Trump plan offering incentives for federal workers to resign” (Feb. 5, Nation):
Thanks to federal staff for his or her service. Thanks for the invisible and visual actions they take each day to serve, defend and look after the folks of our nation.
I used to be as soon as a federal worker. I do know that their jobs will not be glamorous. They’re paid lower than they might be paid within the company sector. They should put up with political shenanigans each 4 years. This 12 months is unprecedented within the degree of chaos and cruelty that’s being thrown their method (our method).
Nonetheless they keep. Their tenure represents institutional data, knowledge, tried and true practices that make our lives in the USA as secure and safe as they are often, no matter who occupies the chair behind the Resolute Desk on the White Home.
The supply to resign with full pay from the administration of a president convicted of a felony is laced with disrespect and nefarious intention.
Staying and doing their work with integrity and braveness will outlast this administration’s impression. Their legacy will probably be far higher than the mendacious regime that desires to rend the material of our society and democracy.
Federal staff, please, don’t resign.
