Palestinians accuse Israel of finishing up ethnic cleansing to depopulate the areas on the northern edge to create a buffer zone. Israel denies it and says the marketing campaign targets Hamas militants and goals to stop them from regrouping. The army says it has instructed civilians to evacuate battle zones for their very own security.
The struggle started when the Palestinian militant group Hamas stormed into Israel on Oct 7, 2023, killing 1,200 individuals, largely civilians, and taking greater than 250 hostages back to Gaza, based on Israeli authorities.
Israel then launched an air, sea and land offensive that has killed virtually 45,000 individuals, largely civilians, based on authorities within the Hamas-run Gaza Strip, displaced practically the complete inhabitants and left a lot of the enclave in ruins.
A bid by Egypt, Qatar and the US to succeed in a truce has gained momentum in latest weeks, but there was no information of a breakthrough.
