To the editor: Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination to supervise the nation’s 18 intelligence companies is typical of President-elect Donald Trump’s lackadaisical method to governing. (“Tulsi Gabbard as intelligence czar? The Trump Cabinet pick most likely to fail,” column, Dec. 2)
A couple of nominees have already bowed out. Former Rep. Matt Gaetz, nominated for legal professional common, and Chad Chronister, picked to move the Drug Enforcement Administration, have withdrawn. Various different controversial nominees could observe go well with or finally fail to win affirmation due to their lack of {qualifications} and private conduct.
Trump doesn’t make a lot of an effort to vet his nominees, leaving it to the media to do his job.

To the editor: Trump received a decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris regardless of the Democratic-media advanced throwing every thing that they had in opposition to him.
His margin of victory makes it indeniable that he has leeway to make tendentious appointments to delicate positions. The Senate, in fact, should placed on its big-boy pants and make sure decisions.
Gabbard, Kash Patel (FBI) and Pete Hegseth (Protection) can have their alternative to argue the suitability of their nominations. So will the opposite aspect.

To the editor: If I didn’t know higher, I’d assume {that a} sensible new script from a “Saturday Evening Reside” information desk skit was someway swapped in for the precise Trump presidential transition plan.
Then I might uncontrollably snicker on the proposed Cupboard choices as an alternative of cringe with worry and dismay for our nice nation.
I suppose you actually can’t make these items up.
