A routine legal has been charged within the Friday morning within the taking pictures loss of life of Oak Park, Illinois, Police Detective Allan Reddins.
In line with Oak Park police, Jerell Thomas, 37, has been charged with first-degree homicide, tried homicide of a peace officer, possession of a stolen firearm, and illegal use of a weapon by a felon in reference to the taking pictures.
Police mentioned investigators say Thomas is a “routine legal” with an extended rap sheet, together with a number of arrests for aggravated battery to a police officer, home battery, battery, and resisting a police officer.
Reddins, a five-year veteran with the division, is the primary Oak Park officer to die within the line of responsibility since 1938.
Oak Park police mentioned Reddins was working a patrol beat when he responded to the 1000-block of Lake Road round 9:30 Friday for a report of an individual seen leaving a Chase Financial institution within the space with a gun.
