Reviews of San Francisco 49ers operating again Christian McCaffrey’s demise might have been drastically exaggerated.
The 2023 league-leading rusher stated on Wednesday he’s “able to go” in Week 2 towards the Minnesota Vikings. Earlier reporting by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on “Monday Evening Soccer” stated there was a “actual, robust risk” that McCaffrey would miss Week 2 with the identical calf damage that stored him out of Monday’s contest.
Chatting with reporters Wednesday (h/t David Bonilla of 49erswebzone.com), the 28-year-old described how he was approaching Sunday regardless of the lingering ailment.
